Quilting & Sewing Bee - January 23

5 January 2009 No Comment

quiltingbee-adOn Saturday, January 23rd, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Maplewood Historical Society is hosting a quilting bee at the farmhouse at Bruentrup Heritage Farm, in Maplewood (this is the second event in the series, the first having been held in November).

Because of the high amount of interest from attendees in needlework (besides quilting), it was decided that needlework would also be featured in addition to quilting, since there was some interest from folks in that area. Quilters and anyone into needlework (including crocheting, stitching) are welcome to attend.

This is a free and fun event for all ages, and for all skill levels of either craft. Besides quilting and needlework, there will be socializing and a light lunch (hot soup and fresh bread to warm up from the cold) will be available for a small donation, with coffee and tea breaks ongoing.

A future quilting bee is still being considered (to be held in March), at the same location.

Space is limited, so please register by calling Carolyn Peterson at 651-748-9009
