Current Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to assist with exhibits & cataloging During the next few months, we need help with the following exhibits.
Included is a list of possible activities for volunteers in this area.
If you are interested in helping, please contact the person listed for each exhibit, or see us at the next membership meeting.
Welcome Center Exhibit Setup & Tasks
We need help in setting up the Welcome Center as an exhibit area to display Maplewood Maps, photos and artifacts. Call Bob Jensen, 651-776-4163.
Tasks/areas needing help:
- -Early photos are needed for scanning
- -Early Maplewood artifacts need donating
- -Assist with cleaning & painting the Welcome Center (in warmer weather)
- -Host(s) are needed to help show & interpret the exhibit to visitors during summer events
Visitor Guide/Visitor Board
We need help in thinking of a way to welcome visitors and a visual way for them to learn about the farm as they enter the property. Call Bob Overby, 651-735-1005.
Tasks/areas needing help:
- -Build a board displaying upcoming/daily events
- -Update the board before each summer event
Clean out and organize/re-catalog artifacts in the tin shed
This includes re-cataloging artifacts which are in the basement of the farmhouse. Call Bob Jensen,
651-776-4163, or Steve Carlson, 651-777-6440.
Tasks/areas needing help:
- -Need someone who is good at entering data into the computer
- -Help with moving boxes and unpacking & repacking artifacts.
